Starter Path
Your First Hours in Borderlands Mobile
Organize the early-game loop into clear actions — Campaign, XP, and Power Score checks that matter most when missions get harder.
Open Travel and enter Campaign
Tap the Travel button, then choose Campaign to begin your journey through Pandora.
Push Main Missions first
Main Missions drive the chapter storyline and are the clearest way to move progression forward.
Pick up Side Missions when they appear
Side Missions unlock as you progress through chapters and offer optional objectives with extra rewards.
Farm XP in Campaign mode
Your Vault Hunter gains XP by completing missions and defeating enemies. You can level up in real time while still in the field.
Use level-ups to stay durable
Each higher level permanently increases your Vault Hunter's Power Score and Max HP, and unlocks better rewards from Vaughn's Adventure.
Check Power Score before hard missions
Power Score rises as you level up and equip stronger gear. Missions show a recommended minimum Power Score — staying close makes progression smoother.
Replay cleared stages for Star Challenges
After completing several chapters, Star Challenge unlocks on finished missions and adds up to three extra challenges per mission for more rewards.
Quick Tips
- Campaign is also the primary XP source — stay in it for the first few hours.
- Power Score is the most important early progression number to watch.
- Side Missions are optional but give extra gear and XP.
- Star Challenges extend replay value once you have cleared the main stages.
Class Guide
How the Borderlands Mobile Summoner Class Works
Understand what the Summoner does, its Action Skill, and how the skill system opens up from level 8.

Action Skill: Good Boy!
Summons Nigel — a companion beast — for a limited time to fight alongside you.
Skills unlock at level 8

How Skill Points work
Every level-up grants one Skill Point. Spend points to increase stats and unlock or upgrade skills tied to your equipped class.
Loadout flexibility
Unlocked Shared skills from different classes can be mixed into your active loadout.
Future expansion
Additional classes and customization options are planned for upcoming Borderlands Mobile updates.

Progression
How Leveling Works in Borderlands Mobile
Leveling is the core early progression loop. It raises combat stats, improves side-feature rewards, and feeds directly into skill growth.
Your Vault Hunter gains XP in Campaign mode by completing missions and killing enemies. Levels can increase in real time during a mission, and every new level permanently boosts Power Score and Max HP while also improving the rewards from Vaughn's Adventure.
Earn XP in Campaign mode
XP comes from two main sources: completing missions and defeating enemies in Campaign mode.
Track the yellow XP ring
The yellow progress line around your Vault Hunter level shows current XP progress. When the line completes the circle, you level up.
Level up during missions
You do not need to finish a mission before gaining a level. Your Vault Hunter can level up on-field in real time.
Get permanent stat growth
Each higher level gives a permanent increase to Power Score and Max HP.
Boost Vaughn's Adventure rewards
After rescuing Vaughn, Vaughn's Adventure unlocks. It grants extra XP and Cash on a 10-minute timer and a Legendary Chest on an 18-hour timer. Reward amounts increase as your level rises.
Turn levels into skills
Skills unlock at level 8, and every level-up grants 1 Skill Point for unlocking or upgrading skills.

Combat Power
Power Score Explained in Borderlands Mobile
Power Score measures how battle-ready your Vault Hunter is. It grows through leveling and better gear, and missions use it as a readiness benchmark.
The game uses Power Score as a simple snapshot of combat strength. Your total goes up when your Vault Hunter levels up and when you equip stronger gear, while each individual piece of gear contributes based on its own level and rarity.
Your overall combat power
It is the main indicator of how strong your current Vault Hunter setup is.
Level up and equip stronger gear
Your total Power Score keeps increasing as your Vault Hunter levels up and your loadout improves.
Each gear piece has its own Power Score
A gear item's score depends on its level and rarity.
Missions show a recommended minimum Power Score
You can still enter below the recommendation, but the mission becomes much harder to clear.
Higher rarity usually means higher Power Score
Gear rarities are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary, but item level still matters.
Power Score Track unlocks claimable rewards
Claim milestone rewards from the profile avatar menu in the top-left corner of the HQ screen.
Builds
Borderlands Mobile Skills, Skill Points, and Early Build Planning
Skills open the door to build customization. Hit level 8, earn points through leveling, and spend them carefully across unlocks and upgrades.
Skills become available once your Vault Hunter reaches level 8. From there, every level grants a Skill Point, and you can use those points to raise stats, unlock new abilities, and customize loadouts with Shared skills.
Unlock Requirement
Skills unlock when your Vault Hunter reaches level 8.
- No skills are available before level 8
- Skill access is tied directly to character progression
How Skill Points Work
Each time your Vault Hunter levels up, you earn 1 Skill Point.
- Level-ups continuously feed your skill progression
- Skill Points are used for both unlocks and upgrades
What Skills Do
Skill Points can increase stats and unlock new skills for your equipped class.
- You can inspect a skill before spending points
- Advanced Skills require more Skill Points
Progression Rule
More skills become available after you spend a certain amount of Skill Points.
- Early choices open up later parts of the tree
- Point spending order shapes your build path
Shared Skills
Unlocked Shared skills can be mixed and matched from different classes to personalize loadouts.
- Shared skills support flexible loadout building
- Customization expands as more classes and skills are unlocked
Current Live Class
In the current version, the available class is Summoner.
- Summoner uses phase energy to summon beasts
- Its Action Skill is "Good Boy!", which summons Nigel to fight alongside you
Upgrades
Borderlands Mobile: How to Upgrade Weapons, Grenades, and Shields
Rank upgrades are a direct way to raise Power Score. Each gear category uses its own material type plus Coins, so efficient spending matters early on.
You can upgrade the Rank of your Grenade, Weapons, and Shield from the Inventory screen. Every rank increase raises your Vault Hunter's Power Score, and each gear category uses a specific upgrade material from missions, rewards, and scrapping matching gear.
Open Inventory
Go to your Inventory and select the Upgrade option for the gear type you want to improve.
Upgrade Grenades
Grenade rank upgrades require Fillers and Coins. Fillers come from Missions, Rewards, and scrapping Grenades, while Coins come from mission gameplay and completion rewards.
Upgrade Weapons
Weapon rank upgrades require Components and Coins. Components come from Missions, Rewards, and scrapping Gear.
Upgrade Shields
Shield rank upgrades require Cells and Coins. Cells come from Missions, Rewards, and scrapping Shields.
Prioritize for Power Score
Rank upgrades directly increase Power Score. Upgrade pieces that strengthen your current mission readiness the most.
Compare rarity and level together
Higher rarity gear usually has a higher Power Score, but a higher-level lower-rarity item can still be the better short-term choice.

Challenge Mode
Borderlands Mobile Tower of Terror Guide
Push through enemy floors, spend tickets wisely, and turn repeat clears into Ship Parts. This mode is built for steady ship progression and daily ranking rewards.
Tower of Terror is a single-player challenge mode found from the Travel button on the HQ screen. You clear every enemy on a floor to move forward, spend one Ticket per entry, and can replay completed floors for standard rewards or use Quick Play when you need a fast farm run.
How to Access the Mode
Open the HQ screen, tap Travel, and choose Tower of Terror from the list of game modes.
- Tower of Terror appears in the Travel menu on the HQ screen.
- It is a single-player mode.
- You advance by killing all enemies on the current floor.
Tickets and Floor Entry
Every attempt costs a Ticket, including repeat clears and Quick Play runs.
- Each floor requires a Ticket to enter.
- Replaying a completed floor also consumes a Ticket.
- Quick Play can be used on previously completed floors for instant standard rewards.
Rewards and Ship Parts
The mode is one of the main places to grind Ship Parts and first-clear milestone rewards.
- The mode is recommended for farming Ship Parts.
- Certain floors grant special rewards from Tina on first completion.
- Quick Play grants standard rewards only, not first-clear special rewards.
Leaderboard and Daily Reset
Your ranking updates as you climb, and daily leaderboard rewards are delivered the next day.
- Leaderboards show your standing, the top players, and the highest floors reached.
- Your current standing also appears on the floor summary screen.
- The leaderboard resets daily.
- Top-ranked Vault Hunters receive rewards after logging in the next day.
What Players on This Floor Means
That floor count is informational only and does not create multiplayer combat inside the tower.
- The player count only shows that other players reached the same floor.
- You do not play with or against those players inside the floor.
Survival Mode
Borderlands Mobile Circle of Slaughter Guide
This survival mode opens after its timer ends and lets you fight enemy waves for repeatable loot runs. It is one of the cleanest ways to target Gear and Mods without paying an entry fee.
Circle of Slaughter is a challenge mode placed in Mode Selection right next to Tower of Terror. Once the event unlocks, you can enter freely and survive as many waves as possible to improve your reward chances.
How the Mode Unlocks
The event becomes available after its countdown finishes.
- Circle of Slaughter unlocks after the timer ends.
- You can find it in Mode Selection next to Tower of Terror.
How the Mode Works
The goal is simple: survive wave after wave for as long as possible.
- You fight waves of enemies in a survival challenge.
- Longer survival improves your reward chances.
Current Stage Count
At the moment, the mode has a limited set of playable levels.
- There are currently 2 levels in Circle of Slaughter.
- More levels are planned to be added later.
Rewards and Farming Value
The mode is built for repeat runs because entry is free and reward chances scale with survival.
- There is no entrance fee.
- You can replay the mode as many times as you want.
- Surviving more waves gives higher chances to win Gear and Mods.
If the Event Does Not Open
Close the game and reload to resolve the timer-expiry unlock issue.
- If the event does not unlock when the timer expires, close the game.
- Reloading the game resolves the unlock issue.

Season System
Borderlands Mobile Battle Pass Guide
The Battle Pass is a seasonal progression layer with separate free and premium reward tracks. Your progress is driven by Daily and Weekly Challenges, so routine task completion is the key to climbing tiers.
Open the Battle Pass from the button on the left side of the HQ screen. Each season has a time-limited rewards track, and Battle Pass Points come from challenge completion rather than passive login alone.
Open the Battle Pass
The Battle Pass is accessed from the Battle Pass button on the left side of the HQ screen.
Follow the Two Reward Tracks
Each season includes two reward tiers: Free Pass and Ultimate Pass.
Earn Battle Pass Points
Battle Pass Points are earned by completing Daily Challenges and Weekly Challenges, which increase your Battle Pass level and move you up the rewards track.
Use the Task Loop Efficiently
Daily Tasks must be completed within 24 hours. Weekly Tasks run within the current week, unlock new challenges each day, and have their own rewards.
Understand the Ultimate Pass
Ultimate Pass unlocks the premium rewards track through in-app purchase and grants additional rewards that match your current Battle Pass progress.
Keep Leveling After Purchase
Buying the Ultimate Pass does not finish the track automatically. You still need to earn more Battle Pass Points to unlock higher tiers on both reward tracks.
